SUBJECT: Online Reputation Assignment

Jonathan is a student at Utah State University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, as well as two minors, one in Marketing with an emphasis in sales, and one in Personal Financial Planning. Jonathan’s studies will be complete when he graduates in 2019. Unlike many people I know that attend this University, Jonathan is not from here. He is from, and grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Before moving to Utah to attend USU, he began his college education experience while studying at the University of Saint Francis, which is in his hometown of Fort Wayne. Jonathan is one of seven children to Shawn and Melinda Ambrose; He has six siblings, two brothers, David and Brian, and four sisters, Nanette, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Geri. Jonathan will be tying the knot with the love of his life, Mia Jensen in December of this year. Jon and Mia met at Utah State, where they are both still continuing to study and pursue their respective degrees. Jon and his fiancĂ© Mia have opted for a longer engagement than most couples here in Utah, and by the time they are married, they will have been engaged for close to nine months.

Jonathan is a very religious individual. He is very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jonathan served his church and savior on a two-year mission; which is what originally led him to the Utah area. From what can be found on his Facebook profile, he impacted the lives of many while he was serving his mission, and still stays in contact with many of the individuals he taught on while on his mission. Jonathan has also learned to apply the skills he gained on his mission to better his work experience. After returning from his LDS mission, Jon worked at Farm Bureau Financial Services for a 12-month period, where he generated over $120,000 personally for Farm Bureau. After leaving his position at Farm Bureau, he decided to apply the door-to-door skills he learned while serving his church to his current job at Aptive Environmental. During his experience at Aptive Environmental, he sold an annual pest control service agreement while going door-to-door, and was quite successful in doing so. During a four-month period where he practiced his sales skills, Jonathan personally generated over $65,000 for Aptive Environmental in their Phoenix, Arizona office.  After returning from a fantastic experience in the Summer Sales industry, Jonathan has since started working as an Associate Advisor at MassMutual Intermountain West. I was not able to find much information on how his experience with MassMutual has gone thus far, being that he began working there in September of this year, but based off of his past work experiences, and the skills he has gained, I would be surprised if his experience has been, and will be, anything less than amazing. Jonathan has shown through his work and school experience that he is a very hard-working, and dedicated individual. On top of his very busy schedule balancing work and school, Jon has still found the time to obtain the Utah Life and Health Producer license, as well as the Utah Property and Casualty Producer License; while also being a member of two very prestigious organizations at Utah State. Jonathan started at the Utah State Student Financial Planning Association in April of 2016, and the Utah State ProSales Club in August of 2016. Just to add to his already very impressive resume, Jonathan also earned his Eagle Scout Honor Award in December of 2012. Jonathan has shown that he understands the value of hard work and dedication, and has far exceeded the normal expectations of a college student and company employee, and is taking the necessary steps to set himself apart from others in the job application process that will come after his college graduation. Due to his experience and success I see no reason why Jon will not be exceptionally qualified, and find himself great job to support he and his soon-to-be wife. On the introduction section of his Facebook page he has a quote that states: “the man I must be tomorrow won’t come with time alone.” I think this quote very accurately describes Jon and the ambitions he has in life.

Jonathan seems to be a very outgoing individual. His interests include reading, playing the guitar, traveling, spending time with his family, fiancé, and friends, indoor skydiving, bowling, longboarding, running, playing the occasional video game, and many other activities. Though I was not able to find an Instagram profile for Jonathan, from what I can see on his Facebook and LinkedIn profiles, he seems to have a very even balance in life between school, work, family, and fun. His profiles seemed rather easy to access and find information about who exactly he was, the interests he has, his family life, and what he personally values in life.

Jonathan and his family recently suffered an unspeakable tragedy when his father Shawn suddenly passed away while riding in a 100-mile road bike event at the age of 52 on September 16th, 2017. Though nothing will ever be able to replace the relationship Jonathan shared with his father, it is easy to see where Jonathan learned the value of hard work and education. His father also had a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Journalism, and MBA, and also a PhD. He was also a very active member in the LDS church, just like Jonathan, as well as an Army Veteran and member of the Army National Guard for many years. I can say with the utmost positivity that Jonathan’s father is looking down on his son, and is beyond proud of his previous, current, and future accomplishments.
